BOTOX ® Injections

BOTOX ® Cosmetic, the cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, is a popular, non-surgical injection that is used to regain a more youthful appearance and remove unwanted wrinkles, forehead creases, crow’s feet near the eyes and bands in the neck. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance.

BOTOX ® Cosmetic is typically administered through a very fine needle into the areas of concern. The effects of the treatment are not permanent, usually lasting anywhere from three to eight months. Botox Injections can typically be repeated every four to six months, as there are no known long-term side effects. This alternative is a welcome one for many individuals who have concerns about more invasive cosmetic plastic surgery procedures.
