When is an abdominoplasty usually performed?

Can you still have children after you’ve had a tummy tuck?

In general, you should be done having children if you elect to have a tummy tuck with Dr. Mandraccia. What is the initial recovery like?

Your abdomen will feel tight and you will need to wear a compression garment to help control swelling. During the first few weeks, you will need to limit your activities and Dr. Mandraccia will prescribe you medication to manage pain. Many patients return to sedentary jobs in one week.

Most patients are able to return to work two weeks after this cosmetic surgery procedure, but because this is a major surgery, individual healing time can vary.
