Forehead Lift and Browlift Surgery

The Forehead and Brow Lift Procedure

To perform an endoscopic forehead and brow lift, Dr. Mandraccia will make a series of small incisions hidden within your hairline. Through these incisions Dr. Mandraccia will use an endoscope (a small illuminated instrument) to guide his movements and lift, tighten and reshape these four major areas of your face:

• Your eyebrows,
• Your upper eyelid skin,
• Your forehead,
• Your jowls

After the muscles and tissues are altered, they are held in place by a variety of dissolving or permanent anchoring mechanisms and the incisions are then closed.

Recovery from Brow and Forehead Lift Procedure

Most patients fully recover from brow and forehead lift surgery in two to three weeks. Dr. Mandraccia often uses compression garments in the initial recovery to reduce swelling and prescription medication can be used to control the pain. Bruising and swelling becomes greatest around the third or fourth day of recovery, but it will slowly disappear over the following two to three weeks.

As with any cosmetic surgery, there are risks of complications including bleeding, infection and nerve damage. Although these complications are rare, Dr. Mandraccia will discuss them with you in detail during your initial consultation.
